Our greatest goal is to give you the healthy, straight, beautiful smile that you've always wanted. We understand that choosing to receive orthodontic care is a big decision, and we respect your reasons for wanting to improve the way you look and feel. Our practice will work with you every step of the way to make sure that your orthodontic care is as comfortable, convenient, and as rewarding as possible. We'll use the latest technology, offering a variety of safe and gentle treatment options, giving you the customized, individual care that you deserve.
Every smile starts with a complimentary consultation!
Your initial consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team. You can expect to learn more about orthodontics, receive a complete orthodontic evaluation, and find out which options will best meet your needs.
During your complimentary consultation, Drs. Lee Graber and/or Katie Graber will:
- Review your dental and medical history forms.
- Provide a complete orthodontic evaluation, with digital (low dose) X-rays and photographs,
- Recommend the best next step
Potential outcomes include:
- No treatment required
- Observation where we monitor the growth & development of the jaws and teeth
- Orthodontic Treatment is indicated
If orthodontic treatment is indicated:
- The doctor will create a customized treatment plan including appliance options.
- The treatment coordinator will discuss all financial information, insurance, and payment-budget plans.

What happens after the initial consultation?
If you are ready for orthodontic treatment, diagnostic records will need to be completed. These consist of digital X-rays, photographs, plaster study and working casts and a wax bite imprint. Most times this can be completed at the first visit, directly following the initial consultation. Your subsequent appointment is when the doctor will place your custom orthodontic appliance. Typically, we reserve 90 minutes for full braces placement, and then you're on your way toward your new smile! That way, there is additional time for questions and to review the home care of your new appliances! We want you to feel comfortable and confident with your new Graber braces!
Scheduling Appointments
Visiting the orthodontist regularly is an important part of your orthodontic treatment. It used to be that visits were once every three-four weeks for the duration of the orthodontic care. Customized appliance design in combination with 3D diagnostic tools allow the doctors to build more into the appliances without the patient being physically present as often. Regular intervals in fixed braces range between 6-10 weeks. These appointments usually last between 20–40 minutes. Our practice will work with you to make sure that your appointments are coordinated with your busy schedule; so you will spend less time in the dental chair, and more time enjoying the things you love to do. We value your time and want to make treatment in our office as convenient as possible.

Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment
It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist according to recommended intervals, even during your orthodontic treatment, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. Many times, while having treatment with fixed braces, it is recommended that you see the general dentist for cleanings once every 3-4 months. Healthy teeth move more comfortably and expediently so visits with the dentist for cleanings are important!
