  • Underbite pattern with triple crossbite (all top teeth inside of the bottom instead of top teeth outside the bottom) with spacing between center front teeth. There was a lack of growth of the upper jaw and minimal cheekbone development. This patient commuted over an hour each way to the office for her bite/teeth correction. She rode with her father and listened to audio books along the way – now they have a special bond with their books in addition to a beautiful and more healthy smile! <br /><br /><strong>Appliances:</strong> Upper jaw custom clear expansion appliance, limited braces on upper front teeth, night-brace worn while sleeping. Treatment time: 14 months

  • Adult with severe dental crowding, gum recession, periodontal problems with inability to properly clean between the teeth (due to crowding). <br /><br /><strong>Appliances:</strong> Clear new technology braces, SureSmile 3D customized wires, clear rubber bands.   • This was a patient with dental crowding and crossbite. <br /><br /><strong>Appliance:</strong> Only Invisalign aligners were used (removable clear aligners) This patient traveled to Asia several times during his care which extended his treatment time. The Invisalign made treatment convenient for him as he could remove the aligners to eat and for his public speaking engagements. He plans to move back home to Asia in the future as well and is happy that his smile has greatly improved! Treatment time: 18 months

  • This patient had upper braces (with a different office) only as a teen and never had her overbite fixed. She had clear fixed braces and customized SureSmile wires.<br /><br /><strong>Appliances:</strong> Clear braces and removable elastics. No permanent teeth were removed, no headgear or expanders were needed. Treatment time: Instead of spending two years in braces, she had a treatment time of 10 months.

She did not need an expander, headgear or the removal of permanent teeth. Treatment time: 20 months – no surgery was needed to fixed her open bite!
